I have been wanting to try a cleansing oil, but was a little skeptical. I have combination skin. I tend to be oily around my "T zone" and can be dry in other areas. To me using an oil would just clog your pores and result in breakouts. However, I was interested because I had seen it work so well on waterproof mascara and liquid eyeliner.
I decided last weekend to give it try. I didn't want to spend a lot since I was still skeptical. I purchased the Garnier Nourishing Cleansing Oil at Ulta for $7.99. According to the bottle, this cleansing oil dissolves impurities and makeup while replenishing skin. It contains jojoba and macadamia oils.
I can honestly say after using this product for a week I can tell a difference in my skin. The oil doesn't feel heavy and works really well at dissolving makeup. As I had hoped, it works great on eye makeup! No more rubbing my eyes raw trying to get off my mascara and eyeliner. My skin feels softer and it seems to have even out my complexion! I actually went to the store today without any makeup and felt good about it! Although the bottle says for dry skin, this hasn't been an issue for me. It hasn't made my face more oily than usual and I still continue to use moisturizer afterwards. I should also mention that after using the cleansing oil first in my routine, I still use a regular facial cleanser after as well. I just added the cleansing oil to my normal routine.
Cleansing oil....I say YAY!!
